Description
Do you enjoy building with LEGO? Ever dream of building and programming a robot? If you answered yes to these questions, this class is for you! Students will gain real-world problem-solving experience through this guided, hands-on course inspired by the global robotics organization FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).
Friendly competition is at the heart of this challenge, as teams of students engage in problem-solving, coding, and engineering challenges. Students will build and program a fully autonomous LEGO robot that navigates missions on a themed FIRST LEGO League Challenge game board. This year’s theme is SUPERPOWERED. The game missions are themed around energy.
No prior technical, programming, or building experience is necessary.
Objectives
Learn how to build programmable robots using LEGO SPIKE Prime Robot kits.
Learn to work effectively in teams
Produce functional autonomous robots to solve various challenges and missions on a robotics game board.
