Description

In this class we will incorporate design thinking with Raspberry Pi computers to design, create, and build projects. Options include designing and building a Stevensville Scarecrow Festival entry or a confetti machine. Or something entirely new!

Students will learn the Stanford d school design thinking model. How to wire up electronic components and run python code using a Raspberry Pi computer. Students will also learn the basics about cybersecurity on the internet.

Objectives

  • Learn to run and use a Raspberry Pi computer

  • Learn to wire up electronic components

  • Learn basics of editing and running Python programs

  • Make use of design thinking to come up with projects to create

  • Use found materials, additional components, and a Raspberry Pi to build projects

  • Work on small teams
