Description
Do you want to learn to wire up joysticks and LCDs and program them? To learn to use a Raspberry Pi computer? Run Python code? In this class, students will learn to set up and run a Raspberry Pi single board computer and complete wiring projects using electronic components and a breadboard. They’ll edit and run code for LCDs, joysticks, LEDs, and more using the Python 3 language. Students will learn to use the command line and Thonny to run code. Concepts covered include number systems, malware, phishing, and cyber sleuthing to broaden their understanding around using computers on the internet.
Objectives
Set up and run a Raspberry Pi
Wire up an electronic circuit using components and a breadboard
Use the command line to run Python scripts
Program an LCD to display their name and other text
Take the phishing quizes
